Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jona Studios (“Jona Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit jonastudios.com (the “Site”) or otherwise communicate with us about a photography or videography session. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. When you submit an inquiry through our contact or booking form, we collect the information you enter — which may include your name, email address, phone number, session type, preferred date, location, budget, and any details you share about your vision for a session.
- Communications. If you email us, message us on WhatsApp, or contact us through Instagram, we retain those communications and any information you choose to share in them.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use (see “Analytics” below) may automatically log standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, and pages visited.
- Session and portfolio images. If you book a session with us, we collect and retain the photographs and/or video we capture during that session, along with any related booking details.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and coordinate session bookings, timing, and logistics;
- Deliver finished photographs, videos, and galleries;
- Send invoices, receipts, and session-related communications;
- Improve our Site, our services, and the experience of working with us;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse of the Site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Site and run our business, including:
- Email delivery providers (such as Resend), used to route contact-form submissions to our inbox;
- Hosting and infrastructure providers, used to run the Site itself;
- Analytics providers, if and when enabled (see below).
These providers are only permitted to use your information as necessary to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jona Studios, our clients, or others.
Cookies & Analytics
The Site may use Google Analytics or a similar privacy-conscious analytics tool to understand how visitors use the Site, which relies on cookies or similar technologies. This is only active if and when we have configured an analytics measurement ID; if no analytics service is configured, no analytics cookies are set. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though doing so may affect how the Site functions.
Data Retention
We retain contact-form and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, complete a booked session, and satisfy our business, accounting, and legal record-keeping needs. Session photographs and video are retained in accordance with the terms agreed at booking and our standard archival practices.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make such a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Residents of California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws; we do not sell personal information as defined under such laws.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site’s contact form. Sessions involving minors (for example, family or graduation portraits) are booked and consented to by a parent or legal guardian.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Effective Date” above indicates when this policy was last revised. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
